Wakefield Covered Bridge Run aims to promote a challenging yet enjoyable race where participants can jog to the finish line with their fellow community members. The event kicks off on Saturday, May 5 where runners can engage in a 5k and 10k marathons throughout the residential Wakefield area, near the Gatineau River and across the symbolic bridge.
The Wakefield Covered Bridge Run’s proceeds are designed to help benefit local charities, such as the Wakefield trails system and the Wakefield Recreation Association who are responsible for all the outdoor sports facilities at the Wakefield Centre La Pêche. Additionally, the gathering will also include a post-race celebration complete with food, music, and even massage therapy services.
