The Program

  • The Theme: A celebration of 40 years of diplomatic relations between Canada and the EU, hosted by EU Ambassador H.E. Marie-Anne Coninsx. For the event Alain Trudel will lead the orchestra through a program full of European classics from Germany, Italy, and France.
  • Notable Soloist: Canadian talent Tony Yang will take charge of the piano for Chopin’s Grande Polonaise Brillante. It’s a fitting choice, considering that last year Yang won Chopin International Piano Competition (at age 16).
  • Program Highlight: The first Waltz suite from Richard Strauss’s Der Rosenkavalier. A far cry from his other challenging, expressionistic operas, Der Rosenkavalier weaves a lighthearted tale of youthful love.

This is a limited time offer while quantities last so don’t miss out!
