March Music and Dance camps run Monday, March 5–Friday, March 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This Groupon is valid for camps at the Aylmer and Hull locations. Childcare is available starting at 7:30 a.m. and extending after camp ends until 5:30 p.m. for an additional fee of $3.50 per care session (not included in today’s deal).
Studio de Danse Danielle’s ensemble of certified instructors imparts their sizeable dance and musical savvy upon young students via engaging, interactive classes and camps. The one-week March Music and Dance camp organizes fledgling artistes by age and keeps them entertained with five days’ worth of dance classes that introduce students to a host of kinetic styles such as ballet, tap, and freestyle bathroom-mirror dances. Amid studios equipped with specially built dance floors that absorb steps to protect youthful joints, fledgling Barishnakovs sashay through three to four 45-minute classes each day. Pupils then hone sonic skills throughout one to two daily music lessons helmed by tuneful pedagogues. Instrument-centric instruction gives students a chance to tickle piano keys or whip up a drum-based beat buffet; singing lessons outfit children with an upper hand in applications for town crier.
Between classes, arts and crafts sessions prevent creative juices from freezing, and outdoor playtime enables lungs to replenish arsenals of fresh air. On the final Friday of the camp, parents assemble at the studio to watch their talented progeny perform whilst exchanging applause techniques with fellow participants. Campers should bring along a packed lunch throughout the week except for Friday, March 9, when a pizza party will be held to celebrate the end of camp.
