Today’s Groupon is good for a rollicking four-hour sampler program, where participants get a concentrated dose of the standard cherry-flavoured, 10-week session (see video). The roster of activity includes rehearsing with a band of other participants, a coaching session with professional musicians, playing live on stage, recording the performance for a take-home CD, and berating roadies. Like lounging by a hotel pool, workshops are a great way to get feet and picks wet with the opportunity to be part of a group that works hands-on with the instructors. The program is four hours long and is held twice a day on Sunday, March 27; Sunday, July 10; and Sunday, September 18.
